“I truly enjoyed my time here, and I am so appreciative for everything that was poured into us throughout this experience. I especially want to thank Mrs. Beverly and Marne for their kindness, wisdom, and encouragement. They taught us living a life of excellence is possible, and that even when you reach a certain level of success, you can still remain humble, loving, and kind towards others. That will forever leave a lasting impression on me.
I also want to thank my teacher, Carolyn. She taught us the importance of being on time, staying disciplined, and always putting God first, no matter your circumstance. Those lessons were bigger than just workplace skills. They were insight that I know will guide me in the future.
I would also like to thank my fellow interns. I know how hard each of them worked to get here today, and I am proud of all of us for following through on our commitment and completing this program together. Watching everyone grow, learn, and support one another throughout these four weeks has been heartwarming.
During this internship, we learned so many useful things, including financial planning, makeup and hairstyling, resume building, professionalism in the workplace, and what employers do and do not look for in potential employees. Every lesson helped prepare us for practical experience and success.
Because of this internship and everything I learned through this experience, I was blessed to receive a full-time job opportunity as a Sales Liaison at Diversified Labeling Images. I am incredibly grateful and proud of how far I’ve come in such a short amount of time. This program gave me more confidence in myself and helped me grow personally and professionally.
I trust and believe that my relationship with Portraits of Hope will continue to grow because this experience has impacted my life in such a positive way.
