The Portraits of Hope Fun Run, originally scheduled to take place at Homewood Park on March 15, was moved indoors to the Lovelady Center due to inclement weather. Despite the change in venue, the event was a resounding success, with a fantastic turnout that allowed everyone to meet and interact with many women from The Lovelady Center.
Participants enjoyed walking through the Center’s halls, while there were plenty of snacks and fruit for all in attendance. The kids had a blast in the bounce house, and live music by singer-songwriter Matt Jones added to the lively atmosphere.
The most exciting part of the day was the overwhelming success of the fundraiser. We met our goal and exceeded it, raising enough funds to provide “25 cars for 25 Lovelady graduates in 2025.”
Portraits of Hope partners with First Fruits Ministries and The Lovelady Center to provide reliable, refurbished used cars for graduates.
Portraits of Hope matches $1,500 for each woman, ensuring they own the car without additional debt. This milestone of receiving a car and having reliable transportation will significantly impact these women’s journeys toward independence.
We are deeply grateful to all our sponsors and participants for their support in making this event such a triumph.
